Details Poet Herbert Woodward Martin, soprano Minnita Daniel-Cox, and collaborative pianist Jennifer Cruz will perform a recital of Paul Laurence Dunbar's poetry. Dunbar (1872-1906) was the first African-American poet to garner national critical acclaim with his first public reading in 1892. His works discuss the hardships of African-Americans equality in America.
