Intended Audience: Faculty, Staff, & Graduate Teaching Assistants

Overall Goals of Session: Teach participants to modify pre-existing games to meet their curricular needs.



Specific Objectives of Session: Participants will learn: 1) how to modify pre-existing games for their classroom and 2) how to create assessments that have students modifying games to reflect learning outcomes.



Participants will have the option to play a couple of different games, see examples of how those games have been modified to teach different learning objectives on CMU’s campus, and then work with the conveners and in groups to modify games to meet the learning objectives of faculty in attendance. Following the creation of the game we will also discuss how the process can be used as a form assessment (meeting both the application and
