Facilitated by: Doug Lapp, Mathematics

Intended Audience: CMU Faculty

We will look at ways to use social media to encourage discourse, develop a sense of community, and provide formative assessment and “flipped” instruction. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and smart phone for use in a hands-on session using Facebook and FlipGrid applications along with mirroring and video capture software. It will not be necessary to have all of the same applications installed on your computer, but we will download the free apps for smart phones to see how the students can interact with the social media environment.
