This acclaimed film (Oscar Best Picture Winner) tells the story of a gay African-American from childhood, through adolescence, and into young adulthood. Chiron lives in a crime-ridden Miami neighborhood with his mother, a crack addict who cares more for her next fix than for him. As a child he finds guidance from a drug dealer and the dealer's girlfriend. Is his future path pre-determined?

Shown free on the big screen; rated "R" for all the usual reasons.
