Understand the three core Universal Design for Learning principles • Understand how UDL improves access and learning for all students • Be able to analyze current course materials to determine where UDL can help • Know how to access the CMU resources available to you • Create an action plan for applying UDL CMU students bring a vast range of differing abilities, preferred learning styles, background knowledge, and needs with them into your course.



This session will help you understand how using the Universal Design for Learning framework when designing your course materials can increase student access to materials and improve learning. You’ll also learn about the services available to help you apply UDL through the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and Student Disability Services before and after you receive any request f
