Human trafficking is modern day slavery and a global problem. Human trafficking has been described as the fastest growing low-risk criminal enterprise today. It is a multi-billion-dollar industry, whose victims range from young children to adults. Our one-day conference will provide opportunity for training and workshops, as well as research and resource information sharing among scholars, law enforcement, human rights, and anti-trafficking practitioners/advocates, lawyers, and social workers. For more information, contact Maureen Eke, Department of English Language and Literature, at 989-774-1087 or eke1mn@cmich.edu.
